Dr. Dominic Marino speaks at 2010 American College of Veterinary Surgeons Symposium
Dr. Dominic Marino just returned from the 2010 American College of Veterinary Surgeons Symposium held in Seattle Washington. Over one thousand veterinary surgeons from all over the world attend this conference each year to hear the latest developments in veterinary orthopedic, soft tissue and neurosurgery. Dr. Marino presented the results of research projects that have been conducted at The Canine Chiari Institute over the last several years. Topics included the MRI characteristics of dogs with Chiari like malformation and diseases that can be confused with Chairi like malformation. Additionally, Dr. Marino was invited to participate in an expert panel discussion about the standard of care in patients having spine surgery. The lectures were well received and preparation is underway for similar talks to be presented at the North American Veterinary Conference, one of the nations largest, in January.
